I’ve talked to many Parisian friends, and I’ve asked them which restaurants were the best to enjoy a quick but delicious meal for lunch in Paris! I’ve gathered a list of the best street food of Paris for you, read on to find out!
For some fallafels: L’as du Fallafel
At L’as du Fallafel, you can find the falafels, a typical middle eastern food. It’s at the 34 rue des Rosiers that you can find the best falafels in Paris. You can’t miss it because there is always a huge line of people waiting to get their falafels. But I can assure you it is worth the wait. In less than ten minutes, you will be served a delicious quality dish, the best falafels ever!
It is the perfect place if you want to grab a quick, but tasty, lunch before continuing your visit of the Marais neighborhood!
For some crepes: La Droguerie
After eating a falafel, you might consider having dessert. You’re in luck, because on the same street as L’as du Fallafel you will find La Droguerie, which is a place that only serves crepes. But there are tons of flavours, from sweet ones to savory ones! You just have to pick the flavours that look the yummiest to you! You won’t be disappointed because there is one for everyone’s taste!
The queue usually is pretty long, but again, it is definitely worth the wait!
For some Californian flavours: Cantine California
You can find Cantine California at three different places. On wednesdays, you will find their foodtruck at Marché Saint Honoré from 11.30 am until 2.30 pm. On Fridays, you will find it at Marché Raspail at the same time. Then, they also have a permanent restaurant at 46 rue Turbigo in Paris third district.
Their tacos and hamburgers are delicious, well-served and their service is really quick! If you feel like having a taste of California flavours in the streets of Paris, this is the place to go to! They never disappoint!
For some juicy burgers: Big Fernand
In the heart of the Montorgueil neighborhood, you will find the Big Fernand at 32 rue Saint-Sauveur. This place is specialized in homemade hamburgers. All the ingredients are fresh, and one can see it in every bite! However, the place is very small and usually crowded. So don’t expect to be seated. The best thing to do is to take-away! Also, note that the prices of the menus start at fifteen euros, just so you know!
For some tapas: L’Avant Comptoir
Located in the Latin Quarter, you will love L’Avant Comptoir! If you’re looking for quick but sophisticated bites, this place is perfect for you. Sometimes when one thinks about street food, they associate it with low-quality dishes. It kind of works like a tapas bar, so it’s the most suitable place if you want to enjoy a light meal or some appetizers before dinner. You will be surrounded by locals in a typical Parisian neighborhood. At L’Avant Comptoir, the staff is very friendly and always give the best recommendations!
For some Fish and Chips: Sunken Chip
Next on my list of the best street food of Paris is the Sunken Chip! What do they serve? They serve “fish and chips” and it is the best in town! You will find this restaurant at 39 rue des Vinaigriers in the tenth Paris district. They have a great variety of fishes and of homemade sides. All the chips, the sauces, the desserts are homemade!
After enjoying a romantic walk along the Canal Saint Martin, I suggest you to have lunch at the Sunken Chip before heading to the more touristic areas of Paris and all its landmarks!
For some delicious sandwiches: Frenchie to Go
Located at 9 rue du Nil, in the Montorgueil neighborhood, the Frenchie to Go is a great place if you want to enjoy a delicious complete breakfast or tasty sandwiches for lunch! It is quite expensive, but everyone I know who have been there loved the place and its food!
For some souvlakis: Filakia
Filakia means “kisses” in greek, and it also means you’re about to taste the most delicious souvlakis of Paris! At 9 rue Mandar in the Montorgueil neighborhood, you need to try the Filakia fast food restaurant. First of all, it is located in one of the most pleasant neighborhood of Paris. Close to many of the most important landmarks of Paris, Filakia is a great place to have lunch before going to the Louvre Museum! The average price of a whole menu is twelve euros.

The menu without the dessert costs thirteen euros, and with dessert it will cost you fifteen euros. The price will depend on how hungry you are! The one thing one knows for sure is that all the dishes are vegan, cruelty-free! There are plenty of different burger recipes, so you only need to decide which one looks the most mouth-watering!
